Player Points

Player Points are earned by all players simply by playing real-money cash games and tournaments.

The Player Points will be distributed by the Essence model which takes into account contributed rake to each pot, style of play and, among other things, distributes more points for playing against tougher opposition, and fewer points to those who systematically play the less experienced.

You can view your Player Points status in the Players' Club after you log in to your Betfair Account.

How are Player Points awarded?

Cash Games - 3.6 Players Points are awarded for every $1 of rake.
Sit 'n' Go Tournaments - 3.6 Players Points are awarded for every $1 paid in fee.
Multi Table Tournaments - 3.6 Players Points are awarded for every $1 paid in fee.

Multi Table Tournament Example
If you were to buy into a $25+$2.50(fee) Tournament, then you would earn 9 Player Points (3.6x$2.50=9 Player Points). This amount is never adjusted and 100% dependent on the Tournament fee as illustrated in brackets.

Cash Game Example
The amount of Player Points you receive will be directly proportional to how much you contribute to the pot. If you contributed $5 into a $10 pot, you would be awarded 50% of the Player Points.

This will then be your baseline and the amount of Player Points you receive will then be slightly adjusted depending on your opponent(s). The better your opponent(s), the more points you will receive. Playing against less experienced opponent(s) will mean you would receive slightly less than the baseline.

Convert Your Player Points into Cash

The number of Player Points that you earn will define which level you attain within the Players Club.

As you work your way up the levels in the Players Club, for every player point you earn a number of store points will be awarded to you.

The Store Points are what you then use to redeem Cash vouchers via the Player Club Store.
